Credit Guide

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This Credit Guide contains important information about Asset Finance Australia, the credit assistance we provide, how we are paid, and what to do if you have a complaint. Please read it before proceeding with a finance application.

1. Who We Are

Asset Finance Australia is a trading name of Velocity Works Pty Ltd (ABN 48 696 401 564), Credit Representative 580651 under Australian Credit Licence 383122.

Phone: 1300 122 211

Website: assetfinanceaustralia.com.au

2. What We Do

We provide credit assistance: we suggest that you apply for, or assist you to apply for, a particular credit contract with a financier, and we may suggest or assist you to remain in a particular credit contract.

We are not a lender. All credit is provided by third-party financiers. Any finance application is subject to the financier's credit criteria, assessment and approval.

3. Our Lender Panel

We do not compare every lender or product in the market. We work with a panel of financiers, and the lenders and products available to you depend on our accreditations, the asset being financed, the financier's criteria and your circumstances. Our panel can change from time to time.

You can ask us at any time which financiers are on our panel.

4. Fees and Commissions

Fees we charge you: Asset Finance Australia does not charge you a fee for our service.

How we are paid: If a finance application settles, the financier pays us a commission. The amount can vary between financiers and products. We will disclose the commission to you before you enter into a credit contract, and we will tell you the estimated dollar amount on request.

Financiers may charge their own fees, interest and charges under the credit contract. These are set out in the financier's documents.

5. Estimates, Rates and Smart Match Results

Repayment estimates, indicative rates and Smart Match results shown on this website are illustrative only. They are not quotes, offers, approvals or credit decisions, and they are not an indication that a particular rate or product is available to you.

Your actual interest rate, comparison rate, fees, repayments and terms will depend on the financier, your circumstances and the final loan details. Always review the financier's disclosure documents before proceeding.

6. Business-Purpose Finance

Finance obtained wholly or predominantly for business purposes is not regulated by the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth). Consumer protections under that Act — including responsible lending obligations — do not apply to business-purpose finance.

Where the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 does apply, we will assess whether the credit contract is not unsuitable for you before providing credit assistance, and we will give you a copy of our credit assessment on request.

7. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our credit activities, please contact us first:

We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer it to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), our external dispute resolution scheme:

8. Privacy

We collect your personal information in order to provide credit assistance. See our Privacy Policy for details of how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information.
